It’s confirmed: High Net Worth Individuals have less faith in the UK banking industry than it had a year ago. And for good reason.
In light of recent banking scandals, Private Bank, Duncan Lawrie, completed a YouGov survey aimed at gauging public perceptions of the banking industry. The overall conclusion? 71% of respondents (1000 HNWIs) viewed the industry as being dishonest – even more so than journalism in the wake of the phone hacking scandal!
Growing dependence on call centres and computerisation is also proving particularly unpopular with no less than 76% preferring a more personal relationship with an impartial bank manager. What do people really want from their banks? Do you trust yours?
