Esc was started by two of us – Dom Jackman & Rob Symington – we both worked as management consultants in ‘The City’ and bonded over a shared feeling of ‘surely there is more to life than this?’ You can read more about ‘Our Story’ here. The concept started as a blog (this blog) in September 2009 and has since grown to a 14,000 strong movement (August 2010).

Escape the City was started by Dom & Rob. They both believe that finding work that really makes you tick is difficult.

Having worked in "the City" they knew the vast majority of their friends and colleagues dreamed of 'Doing Something Different' but few actually managed to make the leap.

So... with only a few month's wages to live on they packed it all in and set out on a mission to help others escape.
