Our first ever Esc Adventure is starting in a dusty little town in northern Botswana called Maun in just over 30 days.

A small group of hardy escapees is going to spend a week walking and camping (glamping!) their way through the Okavango Delta – just as it floods. Getting up close to big game on foot, fishing for their dinner, drinking beer and lying out under the stars (sounds damn good doesn’t it…?!).

The adventure is being guided by escapee Freddie Tucker (ex-finance guy who has been running Okavango Horse Safari for the last three years after finding his job via us) and a couple of local guides. The team is meeting in Maun (Google it) on 29th April. I.e. very soon!

Initially over 140 people were interested in the trip and we whittled it down to a crack team of 8. Really unfortunately we’ve had a few people pull out due to work (I know, I know – it’s called Escape the City for a reason!) and it’s now really late notice to fill the remaining places.

However… I thought some of you amongst this group of aspiring escapees might be up for making a last minute decision (with a friend?) and joining the group* for a pretty unique and unpackaged trip? If you’re up for it just email rob@escapethecity.org and I’ll send you details and prices.

PS. I would go if I could!

*The group currently consists of a 30-year old female Londoner living in Kenya, an escaped Hong Kong investment banker, and an Argentinian consultant turned entrepreneur – as well as Freddie – the escaped wealth manager from London).
