Advice for ‘Starting Something You Love’ – #47: Jake Meyer

by Rob on March 26, 2011

At the beginning of 2011 we started a campaign called Start Something You Love. We kicked it off on 19th January with our big Esc winter party in front of 600 people at Guanabara bar in central London.

We are now following it up with 365 bits of advice from real people who are doing interesting and inspirational things with their lives. And we asked them all the same question:

ESC’S QUESTION: “HOW CAN I START SOMETHING I LOVE?”

JAKE’S ANSWER:

“Success on a trip is having an amazing experience, getting loads of great photos and mose importantly coming back with all of your team/fingers/sanity intact. A summit is just a bonus. Oh, and when the windchill is -70C, don’t piss into the wind…

Stop day dreaming and start planning! It is all about looking back over what you have achieved and saying ‘I’ve tried my hardest to be true to myself and make all my dreams a reality’, with confidence, sincerity and a smile.
