Life is too short to do work that doesn’t matter to you

by Rob on February 17, 2010

A small donation in the scheme of things, but a sizeable one for a startup… we’re really pleased to be putting a cheque for £1000 in the post to Sue at Brain Tumour Research. This donation was made possible by the huge turnout we had at our launch party. Thank you to everyone who attended.

Brain Tumours are terrifying things and indiscriminately affect young people as well as old ones. My little brother beat a brain tumour during his gap year in ’07 and one of our closest family friends is currently battling (and beating) one.

Witnessing these horrible experiences (and the courage of the people involved) has shown me a few things:

  • Life is too short to worry about things you can’t control
  • Life is too short not to take every opportunity to spend time with people who are important to you
  • Life is too short to be unhappy doing work that doesn’t matter to you…

    Wow!

So glad av found this site.. Good work guys, so many people take without giving and it really makes me smile that people are still giving and reaching out.

Thanks for making me smile :D:)
